200SX Driver's Headlight Burnt Out

So I am potentially going to buy this 200sx SER but the driver's side headlight is out. It's not the bulb, and it's not the fuse. I did a quick search and some people have said they have had the actual switch go bad. Would that even allow the other headlight to come on then? (passenger side works)

Please give me your thoughts ASAP.

I'm not looking to rewire headlights....

is the wire connector melted, one of mine was like that when i bought it, also does the high beam work on that side?

could be the switch.

on a working car, if you turn your lights on VERY slowly one side comes on at a time.
