That makes sense by the description

I get a similar thing, but it is always from around 3500 rpm to 4000 rpm, every gear. I can feel and hear the power taper off just a bit and then come back on just after I pass 4k rpms.

This just started happening in my NX, I'm going to try te-grounding the MAF first. I have noticed the ECU battery cables get pretty hot, which seems strange.

Hmm yeah I should reground the MAF and other things lol my bro thinks I got this crazy good deal getting this for 500 lol I'm going to need to put at least 1000 to make up for his lack of maintenance.

I just had massive MAF issues, which I resolved with a new MAF and regrounding it to the intake manifold. All the issues disappeared, so I don't think my current issue is MAF-related. I'll be interested in what you find out. If you figure it out, please PM me!

Also replace that goofy gasket on the LHS of the intake manifold where you can adjust the idle. That thing does more than I can figure out. Might be a slight miss, too did you put the car into timing mode before checking it or plug it into a nissan consultation program?

Yeah I put it in timing mode and the idle is excellent.
