Go inside your car and take the two screws off the panel under the steering wheel.disconnect cable from tranny side first the go into the car and disconnect from pedal.take a big flat head and pry the cable off its lil metal bracket near firewall.slide it out take your new one n take a coat hanger straighten it.wrap around pedal hanger.snake coat hanger throuhh firewall.connect cqble to pedal.connect cable to arm and with an extension push cable bak to the bracket by the firewall.should take you half hour tips

I have done about a dozen clutch cables in b13s and b14s all with aggressive clutch settle and have never had a problem mine is a oem cable with a fx500 clutch setup been about 3 years with very spirited driving in the street and a lot of track time I have never had a problem. I have never seen anybody take anything off the firewall for mid tension. The shoulder on the bushings on the clutch cable just sits against the tube style flange on the firewall and then again it just sits inside of it

I just replaced a clutch cable today and verified on a 98 sentra. It was all super simple there wAs nothing holding it on the pedal side except for the hook at the top by the pedal. maybe everyone is trying to diconnect the cable from the right side of the steering wheel. Replacing the clutch cable only took like 15 minutes and that included adjustment.
