I don't remember if I loosened that up or not. If it's in the way and you can't fish it through you're going to have to loosen the bolt.

Try twisting and angling it through first. Whatever I did, I remember it not being too hard so maybe I only loosened 1 of the bolts and the bracket moved enough for me to fish the clutch cable through.

Good luck.

You don't have to touch anything on the firewall at all ther is the clip on the pedal the bracket on the clutch arm and there is a piece that holds the cable that's located under the brake master cylinder when all those are taken off just simply pull it out

Dude mine has cruise control and it was all pretty straight forward it just slides through the firewall. If your talking about the bracket on the firewall itself it should just go straight through. Hopefully this helps

Thanks for all the responses. Yes I unhooked the cable from the tranny and pedal and the clip under the mc, so I will just have to wiggle it around a bit till its free. Will try in the morning and let ya'll know how it goes. Thanks

The b14 cruise pump is harder to wiggle out than the b13 one. I slightly bent down the pinch weld on the firewall years ago to make it easier to get in and out. My car has never been in an accident either.

Oh, and if you didn't get a Nissan brand clutch cable, return it and get one.

I just replaced one a month ago on my b14 and I took the cruise control out. I don't see how everyone is doing this without removing it clearly has the bushing that needs to be held in by that bracket
All the way to the left

Maybe I do shit the hard way but I tried it the way everyone said to do it and it wasn't coming out

Lol so wrong. there is 3 bolts on the sentra and 200sx that need to he removed to pull it out of the firewall those hold it in place to keep mid tension. the b14 is a bitch last time I did it I got special angling wrench pieces.

Take a huge flat head and pry the cable out or a pliers and bend the u bracket till it's loose. You can always bend it back. I never used the bracket to hold the cable and never had a problem.

Enjoy a clutch that won't last as long that tension is designed to ne there for a reason under a load. It's like doing ur breaks without bleeding them
