Thread: Remove stench from car?

The dog puke enzymes made its way past the carpet into the padding. You're gonna have to remove carpet and do a steam clean several times. Don't do it in car, whatever moisture is left over, mold becomes an issue. Also give the backside of the carpet (rubber part) a good clean with bleach and water. After carpet dries up, take a whole can of lysol and spray the bitch out of it.

My G20 had crazy swamp funk and it was not fun fix.

Take the seats and carpet out of the car and wash with blue Dawn dish liquid and water. Use a hose to rise. If you don't want to get the seat rails wet, remove them. Then take a shop vac and suck out the excess water and let air dry for a few days. You may have to repeat the washing processes if it's really nasty. I've gotten smell tranny fluid and used engine oil out of seats/carpet using this method. It works.

I have done this too.It works great if you suck enough water out and let them dry THOROUGHLY.
They will only be damp if you have a good shopvac...then set them out in the sun to dry on a nice hot day or 2
