I used to work at a car wash. We did the whole 9 yards there. We used a giant wet vac for the seats and carpet. It heats it's own water and does a great job paired with orange cleaner. Citrus usually kills all stains and odors.

If you are getting to the point of buying new stuff, before you buy anything pull out whatever you are replacing remove seat covers carpet ( just not the foam because it will never dry or will end up getting moldy.). Then hit everything with a pressure washer, if you don't own one the carwash style sprayers will do fine. Then shop vac out what moisture you can and let it all air dry in the sun.

step four. clean your seats, and carpet with an upoholstry cleaner with oxyclean or odor eliminator in it.
step five. close all the windows, doors, and spray(more like fog) the inside of the car with ozium and hotbox it in a sense. let it sit for awhile. i mean like fog it like hold the can in there for a good 15 seconds spraying and then close the door.

that should get rid of everything. if not, your SOL. after that you might as well finish cleaning the interior.

frebreeze doesnt really work. its more of a masking as the scent will come back and you have to keep using it.

otherwise you could go rent a rug doctor from home depot or w/e and then actually deep clean your seats and carpet. iirc its like 35 bucks a day. shampooing alone out of a can doesnt work, and bissle is a joke.

Right now there is baking soda all over the car LMAO I put a lot......... We'll see if that works

I'm pretty sure the material is stapled or stitched on so I don't know if thats a option

After moving into my new house, I accidentally locked one of my cats into the only room that has carpet in it over night, and it pissed in the corner. I tried just about everything to get rid of the smell with no luck... then I tried hydrogen peroxide. Apparently its not the cat piss that smells, but the bacteria that feast on it. I tried just a little, and the smell went away for about a week. Then I dumped an entire bottle all over the entire area... no more smell! I'm not sure if it would work with dog vomit... but it could be worth a shot? For what its worth... the hydrogen peroxide didn't bleach/stain my carpet... so I would assume it'd be fine on your carpet/seats...but who knows?

charcoal is a great odor absorber, but does take time to work.

Hmm interesting thread. I think my NX might have been in a flood at some point. The swamp smell has slowly diminished since I've started driving it, but its not a car I'd pick up a date in. I might have to try some of these methods.

I used the baking soda method over night and it worked for about a month then the smell came back.. I'm going to try it again except this time put it everywhere.. It was really easy to vacuum up lol
