Thread: P/S cooler line deleted. Question

Now what would be a good way of joining these hoses back together? Its not high pressure here so im thinking 2 plastic couplers and a section of hose to fill the gap and some worm hose clamps for a nice tight fit. Would the ATF eat the plastic couplers? What have others who have deleted the cooler line done? (makes room for intercooler, looks cleaner)

shouldn't have a problem with the fluids....i just got the 93 altima ps cooler to replace the stupid bar in the front...i'll still have a cooler just not so big and dumb looking.....LOL

I would put some metal tubing there just to be sure.

Why not get some hose and run it from the tank all the way to the pump? No need for three pieces and couplers/clamps when one hose will do. It won't be molded hose, but you can tie it off wherever you want to keep things looking good.

it doesnt run to the pump. its a hose thats crimped to a hard line that runs all the way to the rack. the cooler is part of the return line circuit. so i didnt want to replace a whole hardline with rubber tubing. i went with one coupler, one longer rubber tube going from the reservoir to the rubber tube



see 49725MA is where the cooler line connects. i simply bypassed the cooler line with a rubber hose going directly into (a) of the reservoir.

ill take a pic tomorrow. i might switch to a metal coupler later just to feel better about it.

Yah I got the lines mixed up. You can do the same thing I was talking about though.
