clutch cable.
Sitting here on the side of the road, waiting for Triple A.
I was just wondering if any b13 clutch cable will work...
Or do I gotta have a sr20 specific cable :/

Sorry for not searching.. it isn't acting right on the phone.
Any help is appreciated...

GA16 I believe is a few inches shorter but should work.

Keep a spare in your trunk for next time it breaks

I've heard the GA16 one is also slightly weaker (less strands)?

If you get an aftermarket one from a parts house, they're the exact same piece. Trust me, I've been through several and they're the same part number.

when your on the floorboard looking at the pedal its hooked on to the pedal at the very top. If you have cruise control you have to take off the thing on the top right driver side corner on the firewall (engine bay) then the 2 bolts that hold in the clutch cable. Took me about 45 mins because it snapped at the pedal and I couldn't find where the cable went :P

You dont have to take off the stupid bolts. Just pull the cable out of the firewall once you have it disconnected from the pedal. To do that just reach up where you see the access hole on the side of the pedal assembly and you will feel the end of the cable hooked onto the pedal. Just pull it foward a bit and lift up and push back. Then grab the whole cable inside the bay after taking it out of the securing point on the frame rail under the master cylinder and pull it out of that metal sleeve attached to the firewall.

Install in reverse order. Put it in, hook it onto the pedal and then hook it onto the trans. It literally takes 5 minutes to change out and you can do it on the side of the road. Ive had to do it for friends before.

Again dont remove the sleeve from the firewall. Its not necessary and its a waste of time because its not the proper way to do it.

True story. I wasted my time trying to do that a week or so ago

Exactly! IDK why there's so much misinformation out there about how to change the clutch cable. It's pretty damn easy. It's even easier if it snapped! saves a step lol

The hardest part is getting the cable on/off the hook of the pedal.
