Hmm no, only about 15 min. It was cool morning, and there was only a 5 min wait.

That could be the difference.

You need to get it hot, you can also try running Cat-a-clean through it, I never had an issue with passing CT emissions with S3 cams which some guys will vouch isn't easy.

I had a stock cat and stock ECU at the time and passed with no issues.

Yeah try to drive it on the freeway for at least 15 mins going 65mph in 4th gear then while your waiting to have your turn rev it up to 2k and it should be good by the time its your turn to be tested. Higher hc is from unburnt gas going in muffler

2 years ago mine was close to the limits and when I asked about it they said, "you don't drive it much do you? Next time make sure you have fresh gas in it.". Just got it tested a week ago and made sure it had fresh gas, all readings were less than half the limits.

Test with stale gas HC was 148 vs 74 with fresh gas. Limit is 150.

If the fresh gas doesn't make the difference, double check you AIV system to make sure it's working. This has a major effect on HCs.
