Tranny "issue"
Today I got my car back from the mechanic after installing the tranny.
Its a 200sx tranny with Mfactory 4.78 FD installed in a B13.
The thing is that its kind of "stuck" the car does not move freely, the tranny is braking the car a bit.
The mechanic said that was normal and told me to drive the car around for a couple of days, and if the problem persists to take the car back to him to open the tranny again and check it.

What you guys think on this?

it should be smooth and not feel like its breaking the motor (slowing it )

You said stuck ? Like having to give it lots of gas to get it moving or like super low truck gears soon as you let off it lunges foward mainly in first and second? What trans is the f/d from ?. Have you placed the car on jack stands and drove it threw the gears to search for the issue or placed it in nuetral to see if it turns freely (will still be some resitance from the.LSD ).?

Are you saying engine braking is more pronounced? Or literally the car feels bogged down/stuck?

Its literally slowing the car down.
I havent placed it on jack stands but this is regardless of the gear its in, actually you can feel it in neutral, while the cluch is pressed, etc. Its always there...
The F/D is brand new Mfactory 4.785 F/D

This has nothing to do with the engine, maybe an axle not spinning freely?

Feels like when you have the hand brake slightly up, that the car moves but it feels "sloppy", except that its not the hand brake

He is right at some point since my driveway has a slight inclination, when I drove the car straight home from his shop (about 1 mile at the most), the car would be on neutral on the driveway and will not move on its own, if you move it down by hand it was hard. I drove it about 32 miles today and now it feels a bit better, on my driveway at least it moves by itself, slowly, but at least its an improvement, but still does not feel right...

I will try to drive it as much as I can tomorrow, and if by friday afternoon it does not feel much better I will take it back to him to have the tranny taken apart and look at it...

do the gears need to be pressed on? may have pressed them on too far so they are tight....
