Haha I knew I had to be missing SOMETHING! Nowhere has anyone said they had to drop the crossmember just to install new shifter bushings so I was like wtf is going on here, it cant be this hard! I shouldn't have to touch the rear mount either. We'll see how much of a pain it is to get those 2 bolts off tho.

Ben- thanks for the tip about the swivel head ratchet.

hey guys, i finished this up today and thought id post some pics.

Turns out all u need for those bracket nuts its a regular 12mm wrench.

Also some pics of the underside of the shifter

I was installing an B&M shifter. so i just took out the entire shifter assembly which was much easier than trying to everything from under the car. to do this, just unbolt the cat and let the exhaust hang which gives you enough room to slide the shifter assembly out.

^ yea the guy who owned the car before me cut the shifter rod like a noob.
also for you people with P11/B15 swaps that may have questions about how to cut the bracket so the shifter rods dont bind:

yeah i was gonna say all you have to do is remove the 2 nuts for the bracket and drop it out. Glad you got it taken care of.
