ACT clutch Kits
I have a NX9 HDSS ACT clutch kit that I bought awhile back and I have another project on my hands and I don't think will be good for my goals of 400WHP-450WHP.

DISC

PRESSURE PLATE

RB / PB / AL

From looking at the site I'm not sure which one I should go with. If there is one that will hold 500WHP to be safe would be great.

Thanks,Reese

If you're looking for that much power, get the ACT extreme pressure plate, with the 6 puck unsprung ceramic disc. I believe you have the heavy duty PP with the organic disc, and I don't think it's going to stand up to that much abuse. Especially the disc. Better cryo freeze the gears while you're at it, too, otherwise you'll just chip the teeth right off them.

I'll be getting a P11 or B15 tranny to bolt up to my setup........I have an extra B13 tranny I was going to use, but that will be my backup for the daily now. Plus I will be saving myself time instead of doing double work. So would DISC 6214014 or 6214114 be the better option? I've always heard good things about ACT, so I figured I would get the best that they have to offer. What other good name brands would be good to look into?

that clutch definitly isnt going to be up to par on 500whp, like the othe poter said a extreme pressre plate and 4-6 puck will suffice

^I had this clutch sitting in my bedroom for over a year in the plastic and forgot the specs on it. When I went to the website I knew right away that I would be buying another kit. Which disc do you think would be best from the ACT site BLU? 6214014 or 6214114.

eh some ppl dont like the sprung disc, most people think that solid hub is too aggressive, personally i dont think there is anything wrong with the srprug disc alot of peope have really good luk with them, plus because it has the sprigs it makes it more bearable to drive and the springs distribute the engaugmenet better, in the end its really p to you, but personally im running the 6puck sprung and havent and have no cmplaints from it

I would go with the unsprung hub for that much power. 6214014 is the way to go. Also, I would still cryo treat that B15/P11 tranny with that much power.

^Either disc looks like it will hold, but I guess BLU's comments on the to aggressive part is what made me look towards the 6214114 more. Although with power comes aggression. I would like for me people running these disc with High HP's to post up.

Thanks
