Ive been noticing costco gas, at least the costco near me has better gas even than chevron. The wife used to get 35 mpg with her 08 sentra, shes been getting 42 mpg since costco gas. The reason why, costco replaces the pump filters like 3 times a day, instead of 3 times a year. So its always fresh clean gas so its better mpg. Even my buddy that just got a costco card has started getting more mpg in his b13. I LOVE COSTCO GAS WOOH!!!!

hmm, this sounds really interesting.. I want to know if this Theory has worked with anyone else?? If this is the Case, I'M GAME for Costco Gas.

Mclovin on here has noticed. Its got to be something with their gas, ive heard its bp gas, but since they actually change the damn filters severl times a day compared to most gas stations that take months till they change them. Ever notice how sometimes you get gas and you get the best milage youve ever got for some reason, and you go back to the same station and no luck on that great gas. Well its probally because they had just changed the filter the same day you were there. Each pump has a filter the gas runs through so it comes from the tanks, runs through the pipe to a filter, then through the pump to your car. One benefit to a new filter is the gas pumps faster, and obviously it gets you better mpg. It could be only my costco that has awsome gas, but ive heard other rumors.

Costco used to get alot of bad rep for shitty gas, never changing their filters, and people getting worse milage. In the last year theyve/ started changing the filters multiple times durring the day and shit, and ive really noticed a difference in the 08 se-r, the 96 neo ser, and my buddy has in his 92 se-r with a stock de. Just something about changing those filters baby.

As i also told my buddy, about 10 fillups at costco has made the costco membership pretty much pay for itself, specially with the 15 bucks per formula container i save for my baby boy.

I wish I had a Costco near my area. The best gas I have access to is Sunoco or BP around here. My average is 19-20mpg. I can't figure out why, I have my AFR's tuned to be pretty conservative at cruise, and tried the spark plug mods that Vadim has in the How-To sections (indexed, and side-gapped). It's probably my lead foot, and the ITB's making it hard to stay outta boost

A few pages back, it was pointed out that the NX should have a 13.2g gas tank, as per a few car info sites. I ran my tank completely dry last week till it wouldn't start. Put in maybe .5g in to get it started to get down the street to the gas station about 5 miles from my house, and filled it all the way up. I put in 10.5g. I still swear the NX does not have a 13.2g tank. No possible way! I know Ameen felt the same way, anyone else agree? And I only got 21-22mpg (~215 miles to the tank). It sucks... but now that I'm breaking in this new clutch and staying out of boost right now it's doing a little better. We'll see in a few days. Just food for thought.

About the NX2k Gas tank, check the FSM, it should have a more accurate number then any of the "car info sites".

Well my gas mileage jumped to 23mpg from 19mpg. I indexed platinum tipped plugs and fixed the rear brake from dragging. Now I indexed them a few fillips ago, but I never reset the ECU, so self learn probably took a bit.

Also I think they switched to summer gas finally, thus adding a variable and invalidating the data from the Indexed plugs and brake drag . If It continues to be 23mpg though, i'll be super happy.

I think they finally switched over here too, which definitely is helping me do a little better at the moment. I wish I could consistently hit 23mpg!

My last tank gave me 200 mi to my b13 Tank with me VE.. Still no 02 sensor and stock VE w/o down pipe (open header).

I just filled up on Costco Gas as well.. I'm going to see how this Theory works!! i'm excited to see the outcome. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint..

I also talked with a Costco Representative and asked him, "How often they change their filters". He said very often, ATLEAST 1ce every 2 weeks. He also stated they change their nozzle's every week to keep everything Flowing Clean and Fast. it took about 45 seconds to fill up 10 gal in my b13..
