CTS / Fan / Cold running issue
When putting a G20 ecu in a 95 ser, do i need to change the cts? Car runs like shit when (only when cold). As soon as it warms up a little bit car runs like a champ. It has a brand new sensor right now (95 nissan sensor).

Car has only one 14/16 inch fan wired to the original wiring harness. Runs from the time the car is started and never turns off. (Does this with the stock ecu too).

Autometer gauge located on upper radiator hose and nissan data scan reading from the consult port read the same temp. Will not get over 176. As soon as the car is started the nissan data scan reads 104.

Thank you in advance.

Well is it a us or jdm sensor? You need to use the one that matches your ecu. Otherwise it looks like the sensor might be right-out bad, you should test it before trying anything. Start simple.

I think that your sensor is fine but your wiring is messed up. When I first did my swap I didnt have the right cts so i just left it unhooked for a while and my fans would run constantly. Your ecu isnt getting the temp signal so its turning the fans on so your motor doesnt overheat.

He said nissan data scan is getting a reading from the consult port, so the wiring is good, the ecu is getting the info from the sensor.

But then there should be no reason the fans are constantly running. It can't be the sensor unless the stock one was wrong too because he sad it did the same with the stock ecu. The only other thing I can think of is the fan is jumper wired to a 12v ign and when you turn the car on it's just being jumped. Also he said the car runs shitty when cold because it's probably running super rich (mine did this too). Does the gauge on the gauge cluster work?

USDM Sensor. USDM everything (harnes/ecu/motor/ect)

I have tried a OEM nissan sensor along with a brand new Advance Auto sensor with the same results.

I am using the stock wiring harness to an aftermarket fan. It used to work when I had the turbo motor in (fans would kick on when they are supposed to), now it just runs all the time.

Yes... but that gets its info from a different sensor.

Also maybe I should try to describe "shitty". Right after cranking it idles fine (~1500 rpm). If I try and give it gas it stutters.

Once it warms up (~176) it then idles properly (~800) and has great throttle response.

hmmm has to be wrong sensor then. What ecu were you using when it was turboed? And what one are you using for na?
