Just wondering if anyone has ever used a paint roller with rustoleum to paint their car. Planning to paint it this weekend and hope its a good method. Any tips/suggestions? and color suggestions.

I roller painted the old drift beater in 3 hours. It looked okay but we beat the shit out of it on the streets of Tampa so whatevs. Ooozing down the street like toothpaste. That's right, ITBs on a Ka running on megasquirt. So dirty. We had two buckets of paint made at wal mart. While they were mixing them, we bought a shit load of arts and crafts glitter. Oh yeah look at that flake haha. This is not a joke but this is by no means the car I drove daily haha.
in a weird way i like that 240, i sprayed my old eg civic with rusto and it turned out pretty good considering what it was, i been thinking about doing my b14 too since im just gonna use it as a back and forth to work/autoX car and the paint on it is crap atm, i dont want to put more into the paint than what i paid for the car, my advice is try to find a hlvp gun and spray it instead of roll it cause you will have to sand it less to make it look ok
I also want to say i dont think this is the proper way to paint a car but its cheap and some people get really good results considering

Playground green. That car was a nasty whore man. Probably the biggest piece of shit I have ever put together. Ran like shit, didn't idle and had a horrible tune cause I have no idea what kilopascals is.

The other roller painted dirty whip my buddy Jason and I built. Nasty. It looks okay when you sand it down. But if you touch it with the slightest bit of dirt on your hands, don't expect to get it off. They get filthy. I would not do this to a car you drive on a daily basis. Just my 2 cents.
I did this years ago, never did as many coats as I should have, or did enough wetsanding, but it turned out better than I expected. I don't recommend it though really, not worth the hundred or so hours I spent on it:
Here is what it looks like 5-6 years later, with no care or washing:

noted, dont you need a compressor for an hlvp gun? not sure where i could find one of those to use temporarily. anyone know how airless sprayers work?
