dude Wayne, calm down. A few of us made a point that for us, there's no big difference in doing a B13 alt over B14. Your experience was different for some reason, but that's no reason to flip out on a guy. You took a commonplace comment about 13's and 14's being very very very similar in procedure personally for some reason, and now you look like a jackass.

Both of you ffs calm down.

I was calm, just confused lol.

BTW I really would like to see a B14 setup. I've never looked at one before.

Once again.... Apparently I'm speaking something different. I must be that 2nd guy in 1 billion people that have had the same issue. Esp with an A/c compressor and water neck but ok.

But ok...

Thats funny, I own BOTH a b13 and a b14 and the b14 is far harder to get out. The way the b14 bay is, though not hugely different, makes it much trickier, especially if you have everything stock in place.

I would post a pic of mine if it was stock, but I have everything moved around and no A/C.

Here is a pic of a b14 to give you an idea. When my car was stock I did it with and without removal of the water neck.

It's all good guys. Next time we have a local meet, I'll try and check out a B14's layout. I'm not doubting it's different, I just wasn't aware of it.

FUCKING THANK YOU!!!!!!

Key word here..... I never said getting it out of a b14 has never been done. Some you can, some you can't. And like I said b13's and b14's are not the same.

People need to listen sometimes on here. Tired of you know it all assholes on here sometimes. You car isn't the same as everyone's.

I agree... It's not something to argue. In some ways it is like apples and oranges. It's suttle but it matter's on a b14 for some unknown reason to anyone.

No hard feelings man. Seriously...

What? I thought you were running a/c? Was that during the swap?

Thats not my car, just a random b14 pic with a/c.

Another thing I just thought of that makes it MUCH more difficult on a b14, the a/c line is vastly different. There is a difference, IIRC, between the nx1600 line, NX2000 line, the Classic B13 line, and the GA and SR b14 lines. They are all a bit different.

Another thing to always watch out for is the wire clip for the A/C compressor that comes off of the alternator harness and connects to the compressor. It is easy to miss it and accidentally pull the wire right out of the plug.
