My ga16 jumped 2 teeth on the upper chain and one on the bottom. I put 80,000 miles on it with the chain noisy, the upper tensioner was worn, I went to replace it and I couldn't get it running since, I then disassembled the head and found that the chain was that far off. I have a whole new timing chain set, head gasket, and head bolts ready to go on the car when I have time. I got the parts from partsdinosaur.com it was like $200 something for everything.
No valves are bent or anything the motor has 190,000 and still looks new inside, with the timing off like that there was a huge dead spot at 3000-4000 rpm, if you decide to change the tensioner rotate the engine by hand like 10 times to get the tensioner to pump up and make sure the timing links line up right I've seen 3 of these engines jump a tooth
