NRG Quick Release and Wheel
Im thinking about installing a nrg quick release in my b14. Ive come across some complete kits that include the wheel, release and hub but I really don't want to spend $400 on it. What I was thinking about doing was buying the nrg release and the steering wheel seperately. My question is, if I get this quick release:

NRG QUICK RELEASE STEERING WHEEL BLACK LOCK HUB+KEYS | eBay

Besides the steering wheel, would I need anything else? Also, which steering wheels are compatible with the nrg quick release? Will any 330mm steering wheel work?

This is the steering wheel I was planning on combining the nrg release kit with:

That is not a quick release at all that is just the lock for the steering wheel hub when your wheel isn't installed. However you can't use that as it is not going to work with the NRG slim hub for the S13/B13.

You need the following on this order:
The slim hub for the S13/B13
SRK-140H - Short Hub, for S13 S14 Nissan 240 | NRG Innovations

Then you need a quick release I would recommend the 2.5 or 3.0 only as the previous generations are hard to release. I have only used the 2.5 generation as the 3.0 is a little on the large side.

Then you need a steering wheel the NRG quick release has a bunch of threaded holes so any steering wheel should work.

I would not purchase that steering wheel. Ebay special aka Crap... Everytime you drive your car you rest your hands on the steering wheel. Why downgrade from the leather OEM wheel to a poorly made ebay product.

If you are looking for an upgrade to your wheel stick to a well known brand. I wasn't even that pleased with the NRG steering wheels. They just feel like cheap crap.

Check out Sparco, Momo etc.

I run a momo hub with the nrg 3.0.

I like the longer one as I like the wheel closer to me. You need to go to a shop and use measurements to get the one that puts the wheel where you want it.

I would buy a used Nardi or Personal and buy the quick release hub. I am not in to steering wheels you can flex.

Personal Steering Wheel Trophy 350mm Leather w/Yellow | eBay

love that wheel,xnissan240x except the yellow logo.

As for the NRG hub,I have one gen2 and it is no problenm releasing it.That thing is built solid too.I am sure the newer ones are easier, but I dont have a prob with the 2.0.
Its actually for sale in the classified with a Nardi wheel if you are interested.
The "suede" on that ebay wheel will wear off quickly, just saying.
