Interesting DC Scotty!

I noticed that after my SSAC header install my cars MPG's dropped, now during the install the OEM ground on the cat ripped...

So yeah is there a way we could just reground a wire on the O2 sensor it self?

second, if you wait till sunday i can get my buddy to come out and do any welding that you need. granted we only have a wire feed mig with no gas. he is an experienced welder and wont make a mess of the metal.

third. i put the 9004 connectors on my 93 because i installed a sunny grill and 91headlights. 9004 connectors are the same as 9007 connectors but 9007's are wired differantly.

Yep, I will do a writeup when done and take some pictures.

The problem is finding a good ground spot on the frame and selecting a good connection area on the Header/Downpipe/Cat. I may not need to weld up a connection. I picked up a $10 grounding cable from Napa yesterday. Last night, I tested adding the strap under the front Cat bolt and then under the downpipe/header bolts. I saw promising improvements w/both spots. But once I find the right combination, I will let you know..

Danja is soooo right. The NX wiring setup is different and even between NX years (as 91/92 is different than 93) and especially for headlamp/foglamp wiring. But the actual connecting harnes wires are similar. So you should be good with testing.

Yes this would be possible too.. And may actually be somewhat easier. The O2 sensors & wires gets extremely hot, so O2 connectors would be needed like the ones used in the Bosch Universal kits. Then fishing that new grounding wire back to the same ground on the Intake Mani as the ECU, regrounded MAF and TPS would assure grounding equilization. I will also test this idea too tonight as it maybe more precise. Thanks..

DC Scotty,

Sweet, I started a new thread just devoted to regrounding the O2 sensor... here it is

BTW Classicadict, is your wiring similar to the B14, 9004 wiring? Here is a diagram for the B14's...

to be honest i didnt really take note on the harness wireing. i just turned the low beam on and used my DVM to find what wire was hot with low on. then i used the pin out in my first post to find the low beam wire and just proceeded from there.
