Thread: How to for changing p/s belt?

Can anyone run me thru the process of changing the power steering belt on the sr20de motor? I've changed the alternator belt before but my p/s belt is starting to squeal and I'd rather not deal with a snapped belt.

The main question is how to get the tension off the belt!

its the same thing just loosen the bolt in the back same procedure

loosen the bolt, take a pair of pliers, and put them on the back of the ''welded'' nut, and pull he pliers towards you, this should loosen the tension on the belt. then reverse the steps, when you want to put tension back on the belt, just push the pliers towards the car and then tighten the bolt.

If you can do the alty you can do the power steering. The tensioner for that belt is the power steering pump. So loosen it and take the belt off just like the Alt
