ARP head studs Bolt size and Tq specs for tightening them down?
Anyone have these specs. Im bout to pull the head off my motor to replace it. And the motor has these studs. But I dont have the size it needs. So Im guessing its american which I dont have. They are 12points in or whatever the hell they are. I went to Harbor freight to get the tools and they have nothing pretty much because of a Sale they had and teh Tornado.

I have ARP head studs and they are 13mm 12point. Follow the manufacturers recommended torque sequence in 3 equal steps to 85 ft lb.

Hope that helps.

It does, Thanks! I dont think they are a 13 though. The 13 is still loose.

Also anyone have the Tq Sequence and numbers?

These studs have been on the motor for about 2000miles now. Can I reuse them or is it a good idea to get new studs? I have a brand new set of stock ones sittign here. But can the ARP's be re-used?

Arp are good for many uses unlike oem head studs. I know there is a PDF on their site stateing when to change them but they are supper strong. Also remember that Mazworx makes some good ones also that are just as good as ARP's.

I'm pretty sure its the same as it would be in the FSM. I'm 99% sure... but the best way to find out is to contact ARP and ask. Look up the part number from the online catalog and go from there.

I'll double check the size later on but the sequence:

7 3 1 5 9
8 4 2 6 10

The ft/lbs sequence is different from the fsm so i'll chck on that as well.

Always re-torque head studs after a bit of driving as well.
