two plugs in the transmission
will either of the two plugs in the transmission not being connected stop my car from starting?

Depending on what car you have, what plugs they are, if its auto or manual. Yes i would say it could.

I think it will. I think the sensors back there are just switches for the reverse lights and something else. Only one way to find out tho...

Is there a neutral safety switch on the B13?

Edit: There is but i think it is just for other crap. Not exactly sure what it does.

Edit Again: The neutral switch is right next to the shifter input.

The reverse light sensor won't cause the car to not start but the PNP switch will. The PNP switch detects a ground when the transmission is out of gear and allows you to start the car. If it's in gear it needs to see a ground from the switch on the back of the clutch pedal before it will allow you to start the car.
