Thread: Short Shifter Install

Im in the middle of my short shifter install and came to a small problem. I removed my heat shield and loosened the bolt connecting the shift linkage to the shifter. However, I cant get the nut out thats connecting the two together. Ive tried hitting it out and used a metal pipe and screw driver to try and use them as a lever to get it out but still no dice. Is there a certain way this screw has to be removed? Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the middle one? The one thats a 13mm on 1 side and a 12mm on the other?

I was talking about the bolt that went through the shifter into the shift linkage. Anyways, I ended up getting it out. Thanks for the help though.

Yeah the control rod :P what short shifter are you installing?

Its an adjustable pacesetter short shifter.
