Thread: Relocating Oil Pressure Sender Gauge Q's

Whats up guys, Can someone just verify these parts id hate to get the wrong fittings / line and im pulling my hair out.

Im installing my oil pressure gauge on the firewall instaed of in the adaptor with a braided line. Can someone just verify these parts will work.

I have the sender ( Innovate oil pressure standard issue )



and this adaptor



Is this the correct line? -3an

And the correct fitting to plug into the nissport adaptor?

1/8 NPT to -3AN
Russell 660410 Russell AN & NPT Adapter Fittings

And then this fitting to go on the sender

Along with another 1/8 NPT to -3an Fitting?

PS: an MSD coil bracket makes an awesome sender holder with a little rad hose as a filler!

that looks like it should work. Idk if it exists but I would see if I could find an adapter to go from -3an to a female 1/8npt fitting so you only have 1 fitting on the end instead of 2 at the sender. It would be cheaper and ive always been a fan of keeping things as simple as possible.

I have that same nisport adapter and I'm pretty sure 1/8 sounds right.

Im about to do the same thing after having two autometer sender units fall victim to vibration .

why not use the nissport adapter and a mechanical gauge?

Already bought gauges from Innovate ( boost / oil press / water temp / wide band ) They only make electric.

yeah i understand about wanting all the gauges to be the same, those are nice gauges

I have been running a nismo mechanical gauge with a nissport adapter and autometer braided line for years with no issues. Has been on all of my engines and set ups over the years.

What did you use on the threads? Threadlocker? I did RTV but think ill re-do with thread locker.. Motors not in yet.

I debated on the nisport adapter when i got my gauges up and running. But i already shelled out 40+ for there water temp adapter. Theres a company here in central NJ called mcmaster Car, if you google it im sure you'll find it. My spelling might be off...been 5 years since i dealt with them. They have/had a great website and was able to order just a simple, stainless steel, adapter that went from the 1/8 bspt to the 1/8 bpt ( if i remember the size correct...might be off on that too...) for like 3-4 dollars. They had non stainless steel for a buck or 2 cheaper. I bought 3 of them at the time and have the last one in my G20.
