And kyle, if you do want to try to take pics, that would be fine but I'm pretty sure I've already tried that. I had the DS door off so i could examine how the rods and all worked...no dice...I can't get in there from the top - I'm going to have to cut through the existing door which is why I just went ahead and got two new panels. I have a feeling I'll still need a latch after this is all done, so if anyone has one let me know.

Absolutely. I'll PM you about my door panel if you're interested. You can see pictures of what my door panels look like by visiting my thread in Wanted so you can make sure it will match. It is in great shape.

It took me a while to figure it out. And u will need a new latch mechanism

by latch mechanism, you're talking about the piece you pull on to get out of the car from the inside, no?

no the whole piece that latches onto the striker pin and holds the door closed

i couldnt find the pics but ur gonna have to brake the plastic cover off the latch, on the inside of the door . then there is a lever with a hole in it u will need to pull it up and that should open the door
