Engine Bay.
I shaved the seam sealer off of my engine bay, I heard that if I fill it with Bondo it will crack from vibration. So I was wondering if I can just leave it with no sealer and just paint it, or is this bad? Has anybody resealed their engine bay with stuff like this

but like smooth?

Pics really appreciated.

Thanks.

I think when people normaly shave engine bays they weld it then smooth it out.

Wow! How much would that cost for some to weld?
And what kind of welds? Stich welds?

I did the stitch welding but it is really up to you. If you use Bondo correctly it will not crack. If you slather it on like mud yes it will crack but a little here and there to just blend it won't be an issue.

The stitch welding would get expensive if you had a shop do it. Up to you though I would be happy to refer you to the friend that did mine.

You can use the seam sealer but use a wet rag and putty knife to smooth it out. The paint will not stick to it the greatest though.
