b14 rear transmission mount bolt thread/pitch size
So a while back I replaced my clutch. Upon reinstalling the transmission I must have put the wrong bolts in or something because now bolts connecting the rear mount to the transmission both have backed out and are gone. As it sits now, the rear mount is not bolted to the transmission. Does anyone know the correct thread/pitch size for these bolts. As far as I can see there are just 2 bolts then connect from the mount into the transmission. I've searched the FSM but i can only find the bolt depth, and not the actual thread/pitch size.

Gregv @ Gspec can get you exactly what you need.. i've actually ordered that very some bolt set from him before.. wasn't very much..

this is assuming you have a b13/14

3 Bolts , 4 if you count the larger one that goes through the engine also .. the 3 are 10x1.5 threads ... and very common to break if you dont get them all 3 tight , you may want to look and see if they are broke ....

So they are 10x1.5. Good to know since I stripped the threads in one of those bolt holes when I was installing a motor mount. I need to get back under there and install a insert.

also how long are the bolts?, i mis read the fsm and it shows all the bolt lengths except those three , i went back the to engine removal section , which is where the manual tranaxle section forwards you to for more info on those bolts, i only have the bolt torque req. i might have to stick a coat hanger in their to measure the depth, anyone have a better idea?

You could also retap those holes with a slightly bigger standard tap.... ask me how I know......matter of fact don't ask me Lmao! Sometimes to work with that helicoil shit could be a pain and the ass....and it's expensive.. but good to have around in emergency situations.....
