Wouldn't it be cheaper to go get a p11, p10 or b14 transmission from the junkyard and use all the parts out of that? It's only 130 for a transmission from the junkyard =\

With the new gear from Gspec and flipping the coupling sleeve it should be a "permanent" fix. As permanent as it gets. I can't remember Rodrigo, but was that something we disagreed on? I'm just trying to get it straight for him so he doesn't get confused.

P11 is a slightly more involved swap than just bolt up and go.

P10 has crappy gear ratios, but it could work. It will likely develop 5th gear pop-out some time though. Same for the used b13 or B14 transmission from a junk yard.

I always recommend fixing the transmission you have. You never know when the 5th gear will go on the used junkyard one. If you fix it yourself, as the theory goes, it should* never happen again.

*Shawn B would argue otherwise.

I'll just have to get in there and swap it out.. I'm glad my friend is helping me out with this for free lol we dropped the transmission quick lol I wonder how long it'll take those parts to get here.. I don't feel like dropping the transmission 3 times in 2 months lol

Parts can take some time to deliver from Gspec, so don't pull the transmission out yet (too late?) until you get the part if you can't afford to have the car down for some time.

about how long do you think it would take on average? I don't have it down and won't drop it till I have the parts ready hah

That's a question for Greg Vogel.
