basically with the maxima brackets i had to grind a little (in red) so that the cable fits in between. There was no other way around it. I know my photoshop skills are very l337

this was on a 91, i think the housing around the cable is a little thicker as i looked on my 94 and i didnt have to do this.

I have 91 calipers the cable fit fine onto the caliper. it's just one side The cable can't reach the caliper.

With different brackets, it's entirely possible you'll have plenty of length for the cables. If the other solutions don't work.
