yeah, I was indeed referring to the NISMO unit.

So Redline MT-90 would be good? As well as a few of the other ones?

I too have a P11 Tranny, brand new 0 miles installed and now have 500 miles on it with GL4 regular fluid and also a new Nismo LSD.

Ordered this Monday:
AMSOIL - Severe Gear® Synthetic Off-Road and Drag Racing Gear Lubricant SAE 250 (SRT)

as recommended here:
Amsoil Severe Gear SAE 250, Medicine for Weak Transmissions

It looks like the equivalent to the viscosity 'magic' of Shockproof heavy without the breakdown of all that teflon in Shockproof.

Read the comment section below the MotoIQ for your answer (my question to Mike)

(BTW, neither is Shockproof)

Also I can't find the exact post/thread but I researched it last summer and found on the bobistheoldguy forums the the GL-5 debate is moot now. For example this post:

Also on from the Amsoil website FAQ pertaining to their GEAR oils (not Trans Fluids):

Are AMSOIL gear lubes safe for yellow metals?

Answer: Yes. As long as temperatures don’t exceed 250°F (121°C), all AMSOIL automotive gear oils are safe to use in drive train applications with yellow metals. Check the AMSOIL on-line look-up guide at AMSOIL - Synthetic Oil, Motor and Engine Oil, Lubricants, Air Filters, Oil Filters and Greases for specific questions.

Still going to go with GL-4 every time rather than risking getting GL-5 fluid that still eats our synchros.

Ditto, especially with hard to get expensive transmissions like B15's and P11's.
