Thread: 95-97 2.0 rear o2 sensor wiring

saw there was a thread for the front one..whats it for the rear one? im trying to wire this sensor into my new cat for my 98 1.6..dont ask..long story..

just need to know which is which..
and also if anyone knows which is which on the factory harness too

will post up pics of the plugs if that helps..

95-97 is 3 wire. 98-99 is 4 wire.

Since you have a 1.6, the rear o2 is in the engine bay plug into the secondary downpipe not on the cat.

i know where everything is..and i know all this..need to do some splicing..just wanna know what wires do what so i dont fry anything..

From what I gathered from my FSM:

R/W: pinout to ecu 110
W: (signal) pinout to ecu 52
B: (ground) pinout to ecu 106

yeaa..i have red white black

so:
Red: power?
White: signal?
Black: ground?

do you happen to have the chassis side for a downstream '98?
or the sensor side..idk if it matters..lol

Don't know if this helps. This is a 96 sr20 rear o2 diagram. B11 is the harness connector for the O2 sensor.

108 - rear heated
52 - signal
111 - ground

So I'm assuming on the B11 harness to your O2 sensor (if you are looking at the connector dead straight on): 1 is red (heated), 2 is black (signal) and 3 is white (12V)



If looking at sensor straight ahead at harness, pinout is 3-2-1 to B11 harness 1-2-3.

yeaa..98's have a 4 wire rear o2..2 of them are the same IIRC?

98 is 4-wire, if you can figure it out and still have your harness in the car still.

1 - R/W (HEATED) TO ECU PINOUT 110
2 - W (SIGNAL) TO ECU PINOUT 52
3 - B (GROUND) TO ECU PINOUT 106
4 - BR/Y (12V)

o2 i have has 2 white wires a gray and a black

but at other end of sheath has red white black and green? fml
