Thread: sick and tired of this car

ok so i bought a 1992 sentra ser with abs... when i bought it the abs light was on but i drove it ove 200 miles to get it back home .... drove like a dream... get home and parke it it the garage and through on kyb/ground control dampiners/coilovers, front and rear sway bar, front and rear struts and new doors.... driv it for bout a week and ahalf no problem... then all of asuded im driving down the road and it just starts straight up bucking like a freaking bull... i pull over turn off the car and let it sit for about 5 mins... try to start it and nuthin..... let it sit for a lil bit longer starts right up drive it home pull in to the drive way and it dies.... now it wont hold idle and is in limp mode (wont go past 3k) im getting a code 12 wich is the maf but ive regrounded it.... bought a new one borrowed one , cleaned them all and still nuthing ...... i really need help hear...

it just cranks over or it doesnt turn on at all?

so its idling however its idling in limp mode or like cees said its not doing anything

it idles now but only for about a minuet then it slowly dies...

Check your relays cause if it idles funny and then cuts off it could be a relay or bad ground. If those are fine then the next thing it could be a bad dizzy.

Check your voltage to your MAF, if its not getting correct voltage it will throw a code for a faulty MAF. should be 12v on the power (white + black), 5v on the signal (white). If you are not getting either of those readings trace the wires back until you find the problem. Also check your ground. Could also be your IACV.

What does it do if you give it gas when its idling? Any kind of hestiation?

ive benn switching between three ecu's so im hopping that i didnt fry them all

yeah.. its kinda like a delay then somtimes it'll shoot up to about 4-5k before the 2-step kiks in at 3k
