anyone try dorman or beck/arnley clutch cable?
i looked at these two cuz they are less than half off OEM cable, and im ballin on a budget right now lol. the "sleeve" around the end w/o the adjuster looks like it may be plastic on the B/A cable, and metal on the OEM? the pic of the dorman on rockauto is WAY off, so im guessing its a generic stock photo.

anybody have any input?

I currently have the dorman in my car. I'd go OEM if I were you. Only reason Im using this was because mine snapped right when I was about to enter the frwy I just replaced it on the spot instead of towing the car home. almost a year, so far no issues.

I used the beck/arnley and I don't think I got more than 1,000 miles from it. It gave me the really bad grinding feeling and became very hard to push the clutch pedal in.

Went back to OEM and it has felt the same since I bought it, which was like 7,000 miles ago.

You can use it in a pinch, but I would stick to OEM.

i have tried them all lol oem, aftermarket, i think i have snapped 4 within the last couple years, but the build quality of the dorman one seems to be the most identical to oem. if the little sleeve/bracket on the pedal side is plastic on the beck & arnley one i would stay away from it. it seems to me that piece is the weakest link in the whole cable assembly. out of the 4 cables i broke , only 1 was the actual cable the rest was that bracket/sleeve that attaches to the pedal. also follow the fsm procedure when u install it , the reason why i broke 4 of them was partially an aftermarket pressure plate , and tightening the cable way too much, there should be a tad of slack in the cable , fsm details this more.
