swapping is most logical as with high temps and blowing a headgasket, repairing the current engine will cost as much if not more than another sr2de swap, so doing that is your best option. otherwise if you are looking into repairing the current engine, you will most defiintly need a new headgasket then have the head resurfaced and checked, also the head could have gotten warped so theres no telling really. more money than its worth really
