I don't think so. I bought the tranny off of Miko last Feb.

Only thing i could think of is that part of the tranny was from a 1.6.....

Yeah i will update this thread as it rolls along. Tomorrow i'll replace the seal while at work, i now have the tool to install ....

2.0 seal on the left, 1.6 seal on the right....

yeah i only go with nissan oem seals on my car. You cant beat oem. i wouldnt trust any other one. just for that reason being their 2.0 seal is way way off. I would go with an oem one if you can if problems still persist.

The best way to install that seal is to slide it in with the axel itself. That way it will go in far enough that it won't leak.

Ok update:

I removed the old seal that was in there installed a new one using the seal driver pictured above, used a whole can of brake clean to clean it all up, put it all back and drove around for about 7 miles and checked and no more leakage!

Strange how using the right tool will get positive results

Your tranny must not be LSD. The LSD trannys use a larger seal.
Glad you got it to work.

Well yep the lump on the driver side is there. I bought it off of Dre Miko last year, he told me it was LSD.

Now if he doesn't know how to tell a LSD from a non LSD then nobody knows...

I had a 94 SE-R before and it has the same tranny....

I had a problem like this once. Turned out, the aftermarket axle I got had a nice burr-like metal piece on the edge of the shaft that would catch on the seal while driving. Sounds like you fixed it, though.
