SR20DET or SR20VE
Which one of the two would be cheaper in parts. I'm thinkin about doing a swap but i want to know which one is cheaper starting of and in the long run and if somebody can post up parts list for both thankyou. I got a 96 se-r

boost your DE and be done. VE might be a little cheaper to get running initially but you can go faster for cheaper with boost.

It's all preference, if you want boost or make N/A power.

Do a compression test, if they turn up with similar numbers then boost it. Get a T25 kit (Turbo, manifold, jpipe, injectors). Should run you under $500. Tap the block, install, route water and oil lines. Get ECU, $100-$500 for Basic or Real time.

That will yield you 160whp-200whp. Make sure to get at least a 2.5" exhaust though!

VE would have similar around 160-170whp stock, but you have to pull the motor. If your motor is already good, no reason to pull it.

turbo existing motor.
An avenir turbo kit, with some big intercooler with piping from GTi-R from ebay and something to tune with, with some 2.5" straight turbo back or if you can do 3" even better and you will get something around 210whp at 7psi, and it will be a very responsive motor because the turbo is small
