starter issue (or something)
this is a reman starter i installed back in fall last year, so about 6 months. I stopped to pick up somebody and turned the engine off. When i tried to start the car it made some groaning noise and then i smelled something burn. Immediately stopped turning the key, and left it for a couple minutes. When i turned the key on again , it started, so i drove it away. The next day it started like normal, but then it wouldn't turn over, just making a rapid clicking noise. I hear the clicking from the starter solenoid. Do I need a new starter? Here's what I 've checked: battery is new , neutral switch on when in neutral , off when in gear, took the cover off the lock cylinder and did not find anything obviously burned, but i thought i smelled the burn right around the steering column. I thought clicking noise from the solenoid means weak battery or bad ground or some wire not tight. Whats your opinion?

try rocking the car back and forth in gear a couple times and then start it. I had a g20 with the same problem and thats the only way i could get it to start

check the voltage at the batt. terminals. make sure its free from corrosion, and snug tight.
Autozone provides free battery, and starter testing just in case your not sure.
