Thread: Noisy forged Pistons??

Oh Its def faster. I havent even turned the boost controller on yet. Just gotta bleed it and its ready. The Comp was bumped up to 9.0:1 so it spools a bit quicker also.

what kind of radiator cap you using?

I think the cheap advanceauto one i use lets my coolant bubble out when it shouldnt be

I was wondering if your pistons maybe were slapping a bit but that chain tensioner probably was it . dang.

Oh and Im running a greddy radiator cap... Yeah the sound was horrible and it was getting worse. I thought for sure I had fucked something up or spun a bearing on start up or something. But after doing research on here I was hoping it was the tensioner and it was. I love this forum. I cant wait to take it out again and drive it noise free. I couldnt tonight cause it was raining

sorry if this was mentioned, but is the chain guard still in place? Those things can be very noisy.

you see any benifits from the radiator capyet i just picked up a nismo 1.3bar cap from a local shop they got in on a crate. havent ran the car yet

Not really. Ive had a Koyo Since Ive been boosted. So I didnt notice anything. Its just supposed to be better so I got one. Will, the chain gaurd is off and the motor is running quietly...but....the tranny broke fourth today. So FUCK THESE cars. Im out!
