Sounds to me that the bore is a little larger than it should be and is causing piston slap.

Cant speculate yet until I swap the timing chain tensioner. BUt Dayum I missed these cars! I didnt even realize it till I drove this NX again! I really rarely drove this car after I got the Vette. Well that and it sprayed oil everywhere when you hit boost once the old motor was fucked. This new motor is nice! I havent even hit more then 14psi and its moving quite nice!!! Once it warms up the noise goes Pretty much. But Ima swap the tensioner anyway just to make sure its not that. There is a noise though. These cars make you happy that you worked on them!

Jerry come through tom. Ima swap that and if its still doing it then Ill make a vid.

Also, when I bought this motor it was from my boy local. It ran fine before he took it out. It was only ran about 4-500miles When I say that I mean with no Slight knocking when he ran it. So its something that just went bad on start up. Im hoping its the tensioner and not rod knock. But it Doesnt sond like rod knock anyway.

the tensioner sound and knocking sounds very simular alot of ppl mistake knocking for the timing chain or tensionrsounds. im sure its nothing major

Its wierd though. Wouldnt the Tensioner be a constant noise? This noise seems to get loudest at a certain RPM. Also I did notice that the chain is TIGHT. Like with no slack. My other motor has a lil slack in the chain like enough to move it like 2 cm's up and down. This one wont do that.
