also if i put the relay in for the radiator fans, it doesnt click, it only starts clocking when the radiator fans are supposed to come on, say 180 degrees or whatever then it starts clicking like that rapidly and not getting any power to the fans
maybe you got a bad relay? but you said you replaced the relay already? check for voltage going to the coil of the relay, and if the coil is getting voltage, then that should be pulling the contacts in for the radiator fan. if the coil is getting voltage, you should be getting continuity through the contacts.
got my flex a lite extreme low profile fans in, they came with the flexalite electric thermostat kit, which allows the fans to come on at a set dialed tempature and you can do a overide switch to turn them on automaticly, so i am probably going to use that instead of the factory wiring to turn on and off the radiator fans.
i didnt know it came with the electric thermostat which is cool, and i got the fuses and it doesnt seem to fix the problem so i say f it
Dude, you have an AEM EMS, wire it up! You run the fan output on the EMS to a 30amp relay, run power and ground to the relay off the battery. Run the relay out put to the fans and then ground the fans to the chassis. This is SOOO easy to do.

well yea i can do that, but i just wanted to figure out this problem that had been aluding me for a while.
i have the flex a lite electronic thermostat installed, going to the store to get some wiring supplies. its like 4 wires to connect, easy install and adjustable manually and override. i guess i will just use this option for now
did you ever replace the fuse? Have you pulled the fuse out entirely and seen if the relay still clicks wildly? If it's still clicking with the fan fuse pulled then I'd say that whatever circuit is turning the fan relay on is grounding out somewhere, get your test light and multimeter out.
