I've always used pb blaster with perfect success every time. Sometimes, you do have to let it set for awhile. Now, after reading one of the above posts, I have to try and remember if I've used it near or on something made of rubber... did not know it would eat it.

The ATF / Acetone (50/50) mix WORKS. The problem is finding a suitable container for it. I used a hand pump spray bottle so I could aim the stream on what I needed broken free. I've used "Kroil" quite a bit too (it's actually called "Aero-Kroil"), comes in an Orange aerosol can. I work in aviation, and we use it pretty liberally to keep expensive components from getting damaged during disassembly.
I was recentlly doing a clutch on my wife's Jeep. There were a couple of bolts who had become "One" with the surrounding material. Aero-Kroil wouldn't phaze it, so I gave the AFT / Acetone mix a try. I was amazed at how easily the offending hardware surrendered. The trick is to spray it on, and let it sit for about half an hour. The Acetone allows the ATF to seep into the threads of the hardware and work its magic.

depends what you are doing. liquid wrench white lithium grease seemed to loosen just about everything for me.
