Anyone running a sandwich adapter plate for Oil pressure gauge
i recently picked up a oil relocation kit and it came with a oil sandwhich adapter plate with ports for the oil pressure gauge. i was curious as to weather or not anyone else with a sr20de or det was running one and weather or not their oil pressures were pretty spot on or not.

i havent installed it i was just wondering weather or not anyone else is running one, i know i can make a oil T fitting for the oil pressure switch however installing this is easier that doing all that.

just wondered

Basically you just need a plate with the same threads as the oil filter for your car. If your car needs high oil pressure you do have to watch out for plates that have too small of oil feed holes. Make sure to get one that has at least 10AN holes.

I wouldn't worry about it too much the oil pressure is pretty close where ever on the motor. The main thing you are watching for is big jumps or drops in pressure, that would mean low oil or pump failure.

thats what i thought, i guess i want to go with using the back port of the block, but it looks like the nissport is the best unit to go with, sucks its 50.o0 but i already have 50.00 between my oil press gauge, the autometer cup pod and a few other odds and ends

If you have the option to use the fitting on the sandwich plate that should be fine.

Or if you don't want to use that just don't use that OE oil pressure sensor. The OE sensor doesn't work half the time anyway.
