i dont think its a custom bracket, looks like to me its the same bracket they just added a piece so that bracket position is a bit to the rear which means u wont need a spacer that goes into the bracket where the clutch cable goes into.

this is my sr16 trans. they're identical see

That is a without a doubt a sr16 trans and has LSD . You can tell a b15 p11 trans from a sr16 by lookin at where the driver side axle goes in looks like a spider web on the case also has the reverse gear cover toward the driver side end of he case . As no other sr20 usdm trans comes with cooling fins other than the b15/p11 witch is the strongest Due to the case around the axle inlet and the gear stack design . The sr16 trans has similar gear ratio to the b15 1-3rd I believe and is much better for racing than the b13/b14 .

Falcon when are we dropping that motor in your b13 ??

Be prepared for super high revs at highway speeds.

IIRC, Joel said that at 90mph, the tranny was screaming at 5krpm or thereabouts.

I thought the ribs were for cooling. How do they make it stronger?

^This is why I will not get a sr16ve tranny. It seems like this would be bad for a VE with a 4CW on the bearings sitting that high all the time.

Not everyone drives 90 all the time. If skprod was in ATL I would be worried for him! lol It all depends on his commute. Like falcon said try it out. He needs one asap so put it in for now and he can always swap with later on.

Besides, the low end should pull harder thru 3rd so that should add a little spice for the work commute! it just gets you a ticket in Gwinnett Co. lol. Gotta love the ATL.

and its why de motors can keep up with ve both having de trans, it also kills ur 0-60 times, mostly at start of the race anyway, de trans has too long gear for a mostly stock ve in my opinion. closer geared trans work allot better with vvl which means u can stay in high lobes, i would love to do a 6 speed swap over a sr16 trans for my ve but oh well

now something like sr24ve/ve+t/det/de+t i would highly recommend a de trans, too bad they're weak, cause they have the best gear ratio for it.
