My theory: Yeah they dont sound like that when new. But after a while, if youve looked at a used clutch, the tob tends to create a groove in the pressure plate where it comes into contact with it. The TOB and the clutch lever have just a lil bit of play in them. So what you are hearing with the clicking is the TOB touching the pressure plate and boucing back off.

This even happens in my Vette which is a totaly different car. If you cut it off and you dont have the clutch in you hear the same rattling noise before it dies or when you let off the clutch in nuetral sometime itll pop up also. Its nothing to worry about. Its happened with NEW clutch kits and brand new tob's also.

Gonna bump this up cause I'm having same issue. Got a spec stage 3 which is the 6 puck. Never had any clutch chatter till about mile 375ish on break in period. I'm at 440 miles and still doing break in driving. So i guess my question is do these things just chatter or is their a underlying problem with clutch/TOB/PP?

Clutch chatter isnt what were talking about here. Clutch Chatter is when you engage the clutch and its groans and the pressure plate is trying to grip the disk but it hasnt fully engaged yet. Its just the nature of an aggressive clutch on these cars. But the noise is really just from only some companys clutch disc for some reason. Clutchnet disc are notorious for being EXTREMELY noisy and chattery. It would literaly be embarrasing pulling into a parking spot sometimes. Because of the noise and chatter.

well whatever its called, im talking about the little quick tapping noise when ur in neutral and ur clutch is disengaged. i did try the suggestion of pushing it back in the releasing it real slow and that works good. so i guess ill just keep doin that till it goes away. other than that the clutch feels good. finally able to drive me VE like its meant to be driven =)

i have also experienced this issue in neutral. ACT 6 puck solid disc with heavy duty pressure plate (clutch kit is now blown). It depends on how fast i let go of the clutch pedal. If i slowly let off the pedal the noise would not be there. But if i suddenly let off the pedal, noise is very noticeable. I put in a brand new OEM TO bearing. Not sure what else the problem could be. I have been trying to figure it out myself with little success. It hasn't affected performance at all however.
