Thread: noise possibly from the new clutch???

sup guys i installed a new clutch in my car last week and i drove it on sunday and when i got up on monday i started it up and i heard a weird noise coming from the trans or somewhere in that direction? it drives fine, it ingages fine the noise goes away when i push in the pedal and it comes back when i let the clutch pedal out? any ideas? i put everything brand new the throwout bearing is new with new clips i dont know what it could be.

any ideas anyone??

like a cling cling sound like if something is lose or spining around or vibrating i cant really pin point it but i know its coming from the trans area

Can be chattering from the new clutch.

i dk i hope not thats a new clutch i never heard a new clutch do that but i dont know i just hope it dont mess up on me its a gd clutch i got it from gspec

just do the break in period and see if it is still doing that.

ive had a noise that would come/go with the clutch pedal like that. i always assumed it had something to do with the TOB mechanism, not necessarily the bearing itself, since thats whats actuating when you push the clutch pedal.

^ that sounds plausable, i guess the op will have to give it time to see where he is after a while with the clutch

huh! thanx guys for all of your ideas they are a big help so are yall suggesting that i should take the tranny down again
