Wet weather problem
So the past week has been rainy. The first start every day, until the car has reached normal temp for a few minutes, if I give it any more than light throttle it gets a very weird bog. The only way I can think to describe it is it feels like it is firing against itself and bogging like hell. Quick visual inspection shows no cracks in the distributor cap, though I haven't pulled it off so I can't rule out moisture in the cap completely yet, which was my first thought. Once the car has been running at normal temp for a few minutes everything is fine. Any suggestions for what else I should be looking at? I did recently notice a very small oil leak coming from the distributor o ring, but I don't believe that to be the cause. Thanks.

Take off the cap and inspect it.

No stored codes other than the usual o2 sensor code that I've always had. Cap has no cracks and no moisture inside. I did realize today that touching the rubber on my wires at the distributor shocks me.. don't think that's supposed to happen, never noticed it on any other cars at least. I'm thinking my 150k oem wires might be toasting under load.

you've got a bad cap or plug wires. Do some switching around with the wires and see if it kills a different cylinder each time. If the wires are fine then it is most likely your cap, you can take a spray bottle and spray water on the cap to see if it makes it start to miss.
