i guess im gonna have to take it to a shop to get the code erased. i read it and turned the diagnostic screw all the way clockwise and waited and the red light never flashed on the ecu and the cel on the cluster never flashed. i tried it with the key on acc and all the way on without starting and no results. i took the ecu all the way out and put it back in. im out of options. thanks for all your help and suggesions everyone.

if you go to an autozone or wherever they usually have scan tools and will scan your ecu for free

its strange that the ecu won't flash the codes... I wonder if it has something to do with the way it is chipped?
