Rad Fan Issue
I noticed something weird today. I turned over my 92 NX using the starter. Just wanted to rotate my JDM motor a few times and confirm that my starter was working. After I stopped trying to crank the car my cooling fans came on for like 2 seconds.

Has anybody ever noticed this on their car?

My maf was disconnected, also the coil wire was unplugged. Although I don't think either thing would have anything to do with my fans coming on.

It just seemed really weird that my fans would turn on like that after cranking the car.

Interesting. Thanks guys for letting me know. I briefly glanced at the limp mode description in my FSM years ago. Its never shown itself in any of my cars, so I never had a first hand experience with it before.

The coolant sensor was plugged in. Just maf and coil wire were disconnected. Possibly also the power transistor, but I do remember having that plugged in.

Well the fans are still on. Plugged the MAF back in but yeah the fans are still on. I didn't notice a check engine light. I'm going to run Conzult on the car and see if I pull up any codes.

I looked in the FSM. Causes for Limp mode can be a bad ecu, bad maf, or a bad temp sensor. Anybody ever run into this issue? What was your fix? This will be my fix it task for the week.

Just to update. The car worked itself out of limp mode. I turned it on today just to run it. After a while the fans stopped running. I hooked up my laptop to the car after the fans stopped runnin. I had a temp sensor code 13 showing on Conzult. I cleared it and monitored it some more. The code 13 has not come back. I'll post again if it comes back.

Sounds like a loose coolant temp sensor harness
