81 miles on 3/4 of a tank of gas.
1994 SE-R B13 WITH SR20 ROLLER ROCKER

So, my car has been off the road for a while, tax time finally arrived and I replaced the injectors, IACV, wires, cap n rotor, fuel filter, plugs, MAF, knock and TPS....even ran some sea foam through the motor.

Even though it's running I still continue to have these issues...

1. When I crank it up it takes 3 or 4 turns before it fires up (air in the fuel lines maybe?) It doesn't crank up after a 1/2 crank or so like it used too..

2. Still get a pretty strong smell of fuel after running it, no more smoke out the back, no blue, no black no white or anything and yet still only got 81 miles around town on 3/4's of a tank of gas.

3. When in gear weather it be 2nd or 3rd and driving say 30 mph at like 2500-3000 rpms, I can feel the car slightly "bucking", not a huge buck, just enough to notice that it's not running as smooth as it should.

4. My check engine light sporadically flashes on and off and appears to show no rhythm to it blinking.

I have been tinkering with the car trying to get the TPS, IACV and timing dialed in just right so that it runs as it should but it's proving to be a difficult task. ANyone else had issues like this?

Funny you mention that because I thought I heard air leaking. I chocked it up to an exhaust leak even though I have not put it on a lift and thoroughly examined it....and air leak sounds logical because if I am sucking air at start up it wont start right...I will inspect this afternoon....

Yes I do smell gas afterwards, not overwhelming smell but you can notice it. When I started my car this morning to warm it up and had the heat on the interior smelled like gas too.....

sounds like it could be fouled spark plugs, or dirty maf could def cause poor gas mileage

Same f!cking problem I have!

Car bucks between 2500-3000, cel flashes on and off, terrible gas mileage...

I cleaned my maf the other day, base idle improved but that was all that changed.

Are you running a ss header by any chance? Starting to think mine might be from the 3 wire 02 in the hp header. Please let me know if you figure your issue out. I will do the same.

I almost guarantee it. A car should never buck. Bucking comes from metered air leaving the system. It happened to me when my EGR vacuum hose had a hole in it. Was driving me batty. Couldn't figure it out until I pressurized the engine with air.

Did you install the injector o-rings correctly... if you pull the rail and prime the pump does it trickle?

No, not running a header, stock exhaust all the way back. Will keep you updated if I fix anything.
