he could only buy the one stack, as for whining i i cant tell where its commin from lol its inside the trans for sure tho..

I THINK we put reverse in wrong.. cause it doesn't fuckin work right now.. also i THINK that 3rd / 4th gear shift fork is bad or something cause its still popping out an apparently this is a common b14 lsd box issue.. before anyone asks, Yes the little things that go in the shift fork then onto the selector are in place..

Sucks, if and when you pull apart the tranny again take a picture of the gear stacks to see how they look.
How did you end up getting the tranny together?did the casing just slip in,

Yah it finally slid together, i put it in gear and the stack moved enough to where the case finally slid back on. I think im going to find the forks, i think the whine is from reverse being in wrong, you have to hold it to get it to reverse and it sounds chunky. When shes in gear goign forward (i took her out again to test thigns out) it sounds like your going faster in reverse as the gear spins faster and faster.

Popout is usually a bent fork causing the synchro to ride and wear down ( at least for 5th that was the issue). Look at those.

well the thing is.. we replaced the 1-4 gear stack.. so im betting its prolly just a shift fork or something, maybe the rear motor mount or shift linkage is fubar or something, tell u one thing the shifter itself doesnt feel right when goin through the gears..

has anyone ever takin the trans case off while the trans was still in the car?

^ I was thinking about that last night as well josh lol.

all we really NEED to do is atleast flip reverse.. you can live with out 3rd for a while as long as the trans doesnt sound like its going to explode lol..

I have only taken a tranny apart,but never reassembled one.
This thread makes me not want to...lol

honestly its not really that hard.. which is why im a bit puzzled.. im pretty sure reverse is in backwards, he has one of them tiny laptops an so it was extremely hard to see the pictures in the how to thread.. oopsys.. we'll get it figured out..

still not sure why 3rd doesnt work still
